Sweet tooths, rejoice: candy-coloured interiors are shooting up Furniture on the Move’s most wanted list.

Home sweet home: 2020’s most delicious interiors trend

Over the past few months, we’ve seen a host of luxe brands indulging their sweeter side, from Harry Winston’s coveted Winston Candy range to Versace Home’s complete redecoration of the Palazzo Versace. Bold moves like these are set to have a ripple effect that’ll flow on into event design next year and beyond.

In fact, the design gurus at Dezeen are already predicting their favourite interiors of the year to have a spoonful of sugar in their colour palettes.

How to get the look for your event

Want to add some eye candy to your event? As one of the UK’s leading furniture hire specialists, our buyers are always refreshing our stock in line with next season’s must-haves. Here, some of the Furniture on the Move team members have chosen their favourite candy-coloured pieces from our range of furniture for hire.

Psst: we’re on the cusp of announcing some glorious new pieces of furniture to our lines. To be the first to know when we have a new range, simply sign up to our newsletter.

Our Alana Chair in Blush is a new addition to the range, but it’s already one of our clients’ most beloved pieces. Take your design cues from the gold chair legs and pair it with delicate gold side tables, like our Hourglass Side Table.

Table dressing has become something of an art; but a simple Rose Bush atop one of our Blossom Side Tables will keep the design and installation process short and sweet.

Moving up to the more saturated end of the colour spectrum, an Ariel Chair in Plum makes a bold, candy-coloured statement. You could even luxe it up with one or two of our Gold Cushions and a Casablanca Side Table.

Those beautiful Blossom Side Tables make another appearance in our candy-coloured lust list. This time, we’ve paired them with the Fontaine Chaise Longue – a piece that instantly adds mid-century glamour to any event.

Reminiscent of candy wrappers, the Grand Illusion Side Table is made from clear Perspex – making it perfect for setting off bold colours elsewhere in your dreamy, sugary aesthetic.

Let your guests pull up a Velvet Low Stool in Blush or a Velvet Bar Stool in Blue next to the Velvet Blue Bar, and take a sip from their (preferably mauve-coloured) favourite cocktail. Just add a Wes Anderson movie playing on a projector in front of them, and you’ve got candy-coloured perfection.

You could even scatter a few Martini Sofas in Yellow around the cocktail area of your event space. With a name like that, it’d be madness not to. Sitting at the opposite end of the colour spectrum to purple, we think a yellow sofa like this would look gorgeous next to one of our Ariel Chairs in Plum.

Undoubtedly, Willy Wonka’s Head Office is lit up with a collection of Tom Dixon Stackable Jack Lights.

Partitioning your space has never been so chic – or unimposing. The Adella Bench gives a sweet touch, while also separating the room into micro spaces for networking and socialising.

When it comes to our bountiful supply of pastel-coloured furniture to hire, what you see here is just the starting point. Get in touch with Adam or Sveva on info@furnitureonthemove.co.uk to get a quote for hiring your favourite pieces from our ranges of candy-coloured furniture – we always aim to get you a quote within a few hours of your request.

However you decide to style your pastel-coloured candy land, we’d love to see. Tag any of your event photos with #FurnitureontheMove and we’ll share our favourites. Until then, sweet dreams!
