Furniture On The Move Focuses on: Chiswick House

Chiswick House is located in Chiswick, West London. Although it’s surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the city it’s tucked away within 65-acres of landscaped gardens that radiates peace and serenity. The glorious grounds circling the house could convince anyone that the venue is placed in the English countryside.

The house was built in the 18th century and designed by William Kent and Richard Boyle, third Earl of Burlington. It was on of the first examples of a ‘Neo-Palladian’ villa in the UK, which was influenced by Italian architecture. Its gardens inspired the English Landscape Movement, a movement that has soft, curved lines and open surroundings a perfect marriage of both nature and handcrafted structures.

The house itself is filled with stunning rooms each having their own unique and individual styles. The ‘State Rooms’ are a collection of eight remarkable spaces; Red Velvet Room, Green Velvet Room, Blue Velvet Room, Link Building, The Gallery, Upper Tribunal, Bedchamber and Summer Parlour.

Chiswick House offers six of its stunning spaces to hire for parties, weddings and other events.

The stunning 18th Century villa, known for its history of style and elegance. An extraordinary venue to host your event, a stunning location for you and your guests to enjoy.

We recently furnished an event at Chiswick House with the incredible wedding planners at Bride and Belle working alongside the very talented Eva Tarnok, one of London’s most influential wedding photographers. Here we have dressed the space with our Louis Versailles range; Louis Versailles four leg console table, Louis Versailles silk nursing chair and Louis Versailles two seat silk settee.

A semi-permanent marquee, with neutral ivory interior so your able to create a space that demonstrates your sense of elegance and style. The lawn surrounding the pavilion can also be used so you can have an outdoor lounge area that your guests can enjoy during the warmer months.

We have furniture for both the interior and outdoors for this venue.

We would reflect the venue within the style, emphasising the English garden with notes of wooden furniture, hessian and hints of fresh hedgerows.

This remarkable venue was the world’s largest glass house when it was created in 1820 for the Duke of Devonshire. It has recently been restored to its former greatness.

Overlooking the beautiful setting of the Italian Garden, a place that during the summer months your guests can be entertained.

For a bright and summery theme, we would recommend our Louis VXI collection; Louis Valbonne carved armchair and Louis Valbonne two seater sofa are upholstered with calico and have elegant cream distressed frames.

The Walled Garden is the perfect spot for a summer party, mini festival or bespoke event. The garden is set back from the public garden with its own private entrance, it’s a 2-acre blank space ready to be transformed into your dream event.

We have a wide range of outdoor furniture for you to choose from, whether you want a traditional theme, or a pop of colour we have something to suit your British summer garden party.

An award-winning cricket ground and pavilion, a seasonal venue opened during spring and summer from April – September professionally maintained to impress clients and employees. The grounds have a pitch for team building games and activities, there’s an electronic score board available as well as changing rooms and a tea room.
