FURNITURE ON THE MOVE FOCUSES ON: CHISWICK HOUSE

Chiswick House is located in Chiswick, West London. Although it’s surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the city it’s tucked away within 65-acres of landscaped gardens that radiates peace and serenity. The glorious grounds circling the house could convince anyone that the venue is placed in the English countryside.

The house was built in the 18th century and designed by William Kent and Richard Boyle, third Earl of Burlington. It was on of the first examples of a ‘Neo-Palladian’ villa in the UK, which was influenced by Italian architecture. Its gardens inspired the English Landscape Movement, a movement that has soft, curved lines and open surroundings a perfect marriage of both nature and handcrafted structures.

The house itself is filled with stunning rooms each having their own unique and individual styles. The ‘State Rooms’ are a collection of eight remarkable spaces; Red Velvet Room, Green Velvet Room, Blue Velvet Room, Link Building, The Gallery, Upper Tribunal, Bedchamber and Summer Parlour.

Chiswick House offers six of its stunning spaces to hire for parties, weddings and other events.

OUR PICKS FOR CHISWICK HOUSE

We recently furnished an event at Chiswick House with the incredible wedding planners at Bride and Belle working alongside the very talented Eva Tarnok, one of London’s most influential wedding photographers. Here we have dressed the space with our Louis Versailles range; Louis Versailles four leg console table, Louis Versailles silk nursing chair and Louis Versailles two seat silk settee.

We have furniture for both the interior and outdoors for this venue.

We would reflect the venue within the style, emphasising the English garden with notes of wooden furniture, hessian and hints of fresh hedgerows.

This remarkable venue was the world’s largest glass house when it was created in 1820 for the Duke of Devonshire. It has recently been restored to its former greatness.
