How to Hipster your event

From beards to braces, the hipster trend has become a way of life for many and turning this into a theme for your event is a sure-fire way to stay bang on trend.

Venue

The Hipster trend is all about being different, about embracing individuality and trying new things, so the perfect hipster venue would have to be something a little bit different. The industrial look is also very in keeping. Spaces that have exposed brick work, and industrial pipework to add to the look.

Other spaces that would look great are libraries, coffee shops or outdoor spaces.

Catering

The search for individuality and originality is what defines the hipster trend, so locally sourced, street food style vendors go down well. You could look at alternative ways to serve your food, out of a mini caravan or in a mason jar for example.

Don’t forget to have a top-notch barista there to serve coffees and herbal teas.

Furniture

Industrial, rough style furniture looks great for this theme, our pipe and wood and pallet furniture is perfect.

Our gun metal chairs also look great and add to that industrial feel.

Décor

You can easily add the hipster style to your event by with décor details. Things like stag’s head wall hangings are very popular and can be found in a variety of styles and sizes. Bicycles, although not what spring initially to mind, look great hanging from walls and make simple hipster décor.

Details

And finally make sure you have at least one moustache somewhere at the event, or a beard, or a man playing the accordion!
